Welcome to Little Heath Primary School. Please explore our website to see what we are achieving; wider opportunities, sport, and helpful links. At Little Heath Primary School, we strive to make children feel safe, to achieve their full aspirations, and have the knowledge and skills to REACH their full potential.

PE

PE is a vital part of school life and children’s health and well-being.  It is therefore our intent at Little Heath to provide an inclusive PE curriculum that ensures all children can gain the knowledge and skills needed to achieve in this subject.

It is our intent to provide a curriculum which is delivered through high-quality teaching and focuses on developing all children’s physical skills. Furthermore, we intend for our curriculum to support pupils to develop the positive attitudes, resilience and confidence that will allow them to enjoy participating in physical activity long term.

Additionally, we believe that participation in sporting activity is a key element of developing a school where pupils are proud of the community in which they belong. Therefore, great emphasis is placed upon providing all children with the chance to be involved in additional sporting opportunities beyond their lessons, through extra-curricular clubs, competitions and other sports events or activities.

We follow the National Curriculum at Little Heath Primary School.

At Little Heath Primary School, we prioritise the development of vocabulary  as part of our commitment to supporting every child's learning journey. We understand that building a rich vocabulary is key to academic success and communication. Our curriculum is designed to ensure steady progression, helping students expand their vocabulary, improve language skills, and apply them. Below, you will find the relevant documents that outline our approach to vocabulary development and skills progression within PE.
