At Little Heath, we take a personal interest in our local area and where it fits into the wider world. In our bespoke curriculum, our pupils learn about Coventry and places around the world. Little Heath Geographers use field work and investigation skills to explore where these places are and the features that make them unique, as well as learning about the similarities that other communities around the globe have with our own.
The curriculum is designed to develop skills and knowledge in a progressive manner. Our children will use their knowledge and fieldwork skills to make observations, record, measure and communicate features in a variety of ways.
We follow the National Curriculum at Little Heath Primary School.
At Little Heath Primary School, we prioritise the development of vocabulary as part of our commitment to supporting every child's learning journey. We understand that building a rich vocabulary is key to academic success and communication. Our curriculum is designed to ensure steady progression, helping students expand their vocabulary, improve language skills, and apply them. Below, you will find the relevant documents that outline our approach to vocabulary development and skills progression within Geography.
