Dol-y-Moch October 2025

Day 3- Woodland Walks and Splashing Around.

Another busy day here at Dol-Y-Moch! We spent the first part of the day practicing orienteering skills and team work around the centre grounds.

Once confident, we were dropped off at a woodland location to walk 2 miles independently back to the centre using a map. This was challenging as we only had pictures to show us the way and no teachers in sight!!!

To finish off our day, we headed over to Criccieth Beach for a yummy ice cream and a splash in the sea!

It has been a very fun and busy last day and we are excited to begin our travel home tomorrow!

Day 2-  Wet Water Day!

Today we spent the day out on the water, learning to kayak. We began with some team challenges and water activities at the Slimy Pond and then moved to the kayaking lake to learn a new skill.

We ended our session with the infamous Dol-Y-Moch dive and all got very wet!

Our second activity was time spent at Borth-Y- Gest scrambling across rocks and exploring different ways to move through small rocky spaces.

We have all shown perseverance today in many ways and are proud of our selves for many reasons.
We are excited for our last full day tomorrow!

Day 1- Survive the Mine!

Today we challenged ourselves by exploring and climbing old mines hidden within the mountains. We had to climb waterfalls, scramble up a slate mine and even had an underground boat ride!

It was a very challenging and tiring day but everyone faced fears and conquered something new!

We are excited for another busy day tomorrow!

Welcome to Wales!

We arrived safe and sound at Dol-y-Moch this evening.  We have enjoyed a jacket potato dinner, unpacked, made our beds and collected all our kit. Hopefully we will have a good night’s sleep ready to start our first day of adventures tomorrow!
