W/C 21/03/2022 - The children have been on a real bear hunt!

W/C 24/01/2022 - This week we have really enjoyed our music lessons. We listen to a range of music styles. Talked about why we liked or disliked the music. We learned some songs to sing and perform in front of our friends. We then explored the instruments in provision and created our own music and songs.

Week commencing: 17/01/2022 - Oak Class have been learning about People Who Help Us and this week it was the Police. We had a very exciting visit from a police officer today. We learned about the role of the police officer. We tried on some of their uniform which was very heavy. We learned road safety and how to cross the road correctly. We enjoyed learning about all the modes of transport the police use. We learned that it is important to know where we live , the name of our road and the number we live at. We had a fantastic time and it inspired us to practice road safety in our outdoor area and pretend to be police officers in our play.

Week commencing: 10/01/2022: This week in reception we have been learning all about Winter. We have been in our outdoor area exploring the winter weather. We noticed "sparkly frost" and "crunchy leaves". We learned how to melt the ice with warm water. We also noticed that we could see our breath in the air. We have also learned about animals that hibernate and migrate to warmer countries.
